We went to Milwaukee and visited our friends the Hammers. Mom and Dad went to high school with them. We met up with them for the Brewers and Cubs game. Before that we went to the park and then to a coffee shop called Alterra right on the lake.
It was really cool. Miller Park is awesome. When we got there we went and tailgated at Miller Stadium and had sausage and cheese curds then I got Zoe's (Becca's daughter) cell phone number so we could text. When we got in the stadium we got to our seats and then the girls went to get food. The seats were great. The Cubs beat the Brewers and hit back to back to back home runs. I got nachos from this really cool nacho bar where you tell them what size you want on your nachos and then they tell you how much they are. Becca, my mom's friend had fried cheese curds and boy were they good! Then me and Zoe got cotton candy. This nice usher gave Max a real game ball. When we got back to the Hammer's house we played on my iPad then got our p.j.'s on then went to bed and told each other our best jokes.
The next morning we got up and went to this park called The Lion's Den in Grafton. It had the most amazing view of Lake Michigan. There wasn't a beach really but a huge cliff. We went down to the water and threw rocks into the lake forever. It was fun. The view from the cliff was awesome. Then we went to Port Washington to see some boats. Eric was a great tour guide. He took us to see the last covered bridge in all of Wisconsin.
We ate lunch at Milwaukee Ale House. Everything was great.
It was Tucker, Zoe and Augie Hammer's last day of school today. I am so glad we got out earlier. When they got home we had a fun happy hour and ate some "classic" Wisconsin foods. We had baked cheese, lots of sausages, lots of different cheeses and these pretzel rolls.
I am thinking of letting Zoe write a guest blog. We traded cell phone numbers so we can text each other.
You are doing so many fun things Maggy! Thanks for sharing.
